I have a dream, nay I have a desire to learn but with the injury I have, traditional education is almost impossible to attempt. Between the pain, the meds and the need for sleep after a trip of 20 miles or more, I cannot attend standard institutional learning facilities. Add into the mix, astronomical fuel prices, family, and the state of the economy, I think the genre of Education at Home might just be a win-win.
I want to find out if this is indeed a genre that can actually do as it claims, teach a person to become a ________, in the privacy of their own home. It is a phenomenal idea, and hopefully stigmas associated with this form of education can slip back into the woodwork that someone has installed using one of these programs.
Now all I need is a program. Suggestions? Donations?
